This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners and gain valuable experience within dynamic, Welsh-speaking school environments.

As a Welsh-medium Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stages 3-4, working closely with teachers to ensure all learners can access the curriculum and succeed.

Every day is different, but your role could include:

  • Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and subject-based tasks
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
  • Adapting resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils during lesson transitions and breaktimes

Many of the roles we offer involve supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). This may include:

  • Working with learners with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH needs, and moderate learning difficulties
  • Providing tailored support to help pupils regulate emotions and stay engaged in lessons
  • Implementing strategies provided by the school's ALNCo or teaching staff
  • Offering consistent encouragement and building trust with pupils who may require additional support

Previous experience working with ALN is highly desirable, whether in a school, care, youth work, or support setting. However, we also welcome candidates with a strong willingness to learn and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
