A specialist SEN residential school near Shillingstone is seeking full-time Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 7–19 with autism and associated needs.

The school is set within beautiful grounds and provides a therapeutic learning environment, including animal-assisted activities involving horses and other onsite animals.

Duties include:

  • Supporting pupils during lessons and activities
  • Promoting independence, communication and social development
  • Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support
  • Working closely with teachers and therapists
  • Supporting outdoor and therapeutic learning opportunities

Requirements:

  • A caring and positive attitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Patience, resilience and flexibility
  • Previous SEN or care experience desirable but not essential
