Whether you are studying Education, Psychology, English, Maths, Science, Sport, Social Sciences or another subject, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience working with children and young people while earning money around your university timetable.
You don't need previous experience as a Teaching Assistant. What matters most is that you are reliable, enthusiastic, confident and passionate about supporting young people.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across mainstream primary, secondary and SEND settings.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 or small-group basis
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning resources
- Encouraging pupils to participate and remain engaged with their learning
- Supporting students who require additional guidance
- Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
- Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Working with students with SEND and additional learning needs
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Helping teachers with the day-to-day running of the classroom

- Have a proactive and positive attitude
- Have previous experience with children, coaching, mentoring, tutoring or youth work - desirable but not essential
