We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Salford, providing 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

 

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement support plans.
  • Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence within the classroom.
  • Support students socially, emotionally, and academically throughout the school day.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the wider school team.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
  • A full-time role in a supportive and inclusive secondary school.
