About the Role

Supply Desk are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive secondary school team in Hemel Hempstead.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop their career within education. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their academic, social, and personal potential in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

You will play an important role in supporting teachers and students across the secondary school, helping to create a positive classroom environment and ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to students across the secondary school, both in and outside of the classroom
• Assist teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons
• Support students with their learning, development, and wellbeing
• Provide additional support to students who may have SEND or require additional learning assistance
• Build positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and colleagues
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment
• Assist with classroom preparation and day-to-day school routines
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a school or education setting (Desirable)
• A relevant Teaching Assistant or education-based qualification (Desirable)
• Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting students in an educational environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, caring, and proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
