We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to support a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Bolton and Bury from September 2026.

These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential. Whether you have previous school-based experience or are looking to begin a career in education, we would love to hear from you.

In addition to traditional Teaching Assistant positions, there are excellent opportunities for suitable candidates to progress into or undertake specialist roles including:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to improve engagement and attainment.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with additional learning, behavioural, or social needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote student success.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are passionate about supporting young people.
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Are proactive, adaptable, and reliable.
  • Have experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
  • Are considering a future career in teaching, pastoral support, behaviour management, or school administration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
