Teaching Personnel is working closely with a supportive and welcoming middle school in Dorchester, alongside other local schools, who are seeking a dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a Monday to Friday basis. There is flexibility for both longer-term placements and short-term/ad hoc roles, depending on your availability and preference.

This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with older primary-age pupils and is keen to support learning within a middle school environment.

Position Details:

• Role: Teaching Assistant
• Location: Dorchester
• School Type: Middle school (with additional opportunities locally)
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Start Date: Immediate and ongoing
• Contract: Long-term and ad hoc supply
• Pay: Paid to scale, paid weekly via PAYE

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred)
• Is happy and confident working in a middle school setting
• Can support pupils in class, small groups or on a 1:1 basis
• Is happy to travel locally; driving is preferred
• Has a DBS on the Update Service (preferred) or is happy to apply through Teaching Personnel
• Brings a positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning
