Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Southampton

As an HLTA, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teachers.
• Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Support students with varying needs, including those with additional learning challenges.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students reach their full potential.

• A Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven success working with children in a classroom setting.
• Confidence in leading classes and working with small groups.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
• A proactive, adaptable, and positive attitude towards supporting learning.
