Classroom Teaching Assistant at a secondary school based in Chorlton

Our client Secondary School is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves working 35 hours per week, term-time only, with an additional five training days.

The school is based in the heart of Chorlton, and boasts a large car park for members of staff with a vehicle. There are also multiple public transport options within walking distance of the school, including bus and tram stops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with groups of students under the teacher’s supervision to deliver programs of work and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
  • Utilise specialist skills/training/experience to support students in their learning.
  • Provide feedback to students on their progress and achievements.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to monitor student progress and maintain records.
  • Evaluate student responses to learning activities through observation and recording against set learning objectives.

This role involves interaction with all members of staff including teaching staff, safeguarding team, pastoral team, SENCO, SLT, students, governors, and parents.
