1 to 1 Teaching Assistant needed at Secondary School based in Salford.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant to join the SEN team at a reputable client secondary school based in the heart of Salford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and supporting students with mild additional needs.

The successful candidate should be able to start from Monday 22nd April and can expect to earn up to £95 per day depending on previous experience. This role will be required until December 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities.
  • Help students develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
