An SEN school based in Salisbury is seeking a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible on a full time basis.

The school specialises in educating students aged between 3 - 19 with ASD and complex learning needs. The school recognises the importance of helping pupils with autism to develop problem-solving skills to promote independence both in school and in the transition to adult life. They strongly believe in creating an individualised programme to meet each child’s needs, and have extensive on-site facilities including forest school, sensory rooms and hydrotherapy.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with students in classes between 5-8 students, accompanied by a Teacher and other Support Assistants.

The candidate will ideally have:

-          Some experience working with children and young people, it is desirable if you have experience working with children with SEN

-          Experience working in a school would be advantageous

-          The school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar roles
