Teaching Personnel are working with a large Secondary school in the Salford area who are currently looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team. Working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant is a great way to receive paid experience in a Secondary School, which will boost future opportunities for teacher training applications and may result in a direct school placement, depending on success.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you may be expected to work alongside identified pupils who have SEN and require additional support, with the possibilities of some students displaying challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis with identified pupils in a wide range of subjects, whilst supporting the class teacher during lesson and on some occasions with preparation prior to the lesson starting.
On occasion, the successful candidate will be expected to cover certain lessons in the absence of a teacher, whereby the lesson will be planned and prepared.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
