Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team. This is a full-time position, providing classroom support to students both within lessons and through targeted interventions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students achieve their full potential in a positive and nurturing school environment.

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Encourage student engagement, confidence, and participation in lessons.
  • Assist with classroom behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Provide additional support to students who require extra guidance.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Support students' academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.
  • Build positive working relationships with students, teachers, and wider school staff.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Confidence supporting students within a secondary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience within education are beneficial but not essential.
