The PWR team are working in close partnership with a leading SEN Multi-Academy Trust, renowned for its commitment to providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their esteemed school located in Foxton.

School Overview:

Situated in the picturesque village of Foxton, our partner school offers specialist education for students aged 7–18 with a range of challenges, including:

  • Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH)
  • Communication and Interaction Needs
  • Cognition and Learning Needs

Role Overview:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic and personal development of a specific student, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to thrive in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a student with SEMH, communication and interaction, or cognition and learning needs.
  • Assist the student in accessing the curriculum, adapting teaching methods to suit their individual learning style.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the student's social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create personalized learning plans.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, communicating observations and insights to relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful classroom environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEMH, communication and interaction, or cognition and learning needs is desirable.
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
