Teaching Personnel invites you to join our Future Teachers Programme in the Salisbury area — a two-year pathway designed to provide classroom experience first, followed by paid Initial Teacher Training leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
This is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience before formal teacher training, build confidence in schools, and earn while you qualify.
Year 1 – Classroom Experience
You’ll work as a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school, supporting learning during short-term teacher absences. You’ll supervise pre-set work, manage behaviour, and ensure lessons run smoothly. There’s no planning or marking required, allowing you to focus on gaining practical experience and understanding school life.
During this year, you will:
Year 2 – Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with QTS
After a successful first year, you’ll progress into your paid ITT year. You’ll complete formal teacher training while continuing to work in school.

By the end of the programme, you’ll be fully qualified and ready to begin your teaching career with confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
