A secondary school in Blackpool are seeking to hire a highly capable Learning Support Assistant. The position will begin on the 3rd June 2024 to cover maternity leave with the possibility of extension.

Candidates will be extremely driven and passionate about making sure that the students always reach their highest potential.  This position's main goal is to promote the fundamental values of pride, respect, and achievement among all students and to make sure that those who need specialised care get the best, most individualised care possible.

The chosen applicant will:

  • Build positive working relationships with students
  • Commit to supporting learners
  • Encourage independence and use techniques to recognise and reward success
  • The successful candidate must also have a high level of literacy and numeracy to ensure confidence in all aspects of school life.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and contribute knowledge and expertise in departmental and whole school training.
  • Record progress and achievement in lessons and provide evidence of level of progress.
