If so, we are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive secondary schools across Oldham on both full-time and part-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants, graduates, psychology graduates, youth workers, support workers, and individuals with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs. Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. You will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEND team to help pupils access learning, build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their individual targets.
The role may involve working on a one-to-one basis with individual pupils, supporting small intervention groups, or assisting students within mainstream classroom settings. You will play an important role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed both academically and personally.
Successful candidates will be caring, resilient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with young people. Previous experience supporting children or vulnerable adults is highly desirable, whether gained within schools, care settings, youth work, coaching, mentoring, residential support, or similar environments. Strong communication skills, a professional approach, and a genuine passion for education and inclusion are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
