Are you dedicated to supporting young people with additional needs? We are collaborating with a number of welcoming secondary schools across Bolton, Bury and Salford seeking committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams on a full-time basis from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting students with diverse learning and behavioural needs.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist students with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers to deliver engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
  • Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and foster student independence.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to the development of student support plans.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people.
  • Experience in education, care, youth work or support settings is desirable.
  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Full-time roles within supportive secondary schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
