We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Bramhall. With an Ofsted rating of 'Good', the school is committed to providing inclusive education and support to all students.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include:
Individualized Support: Offering one-to-one or small group support to SEN students, assisting them with their learning activities, and providing guidance and encouragement to help them overcome barriers to learning.
Implementing Support Plans: Collaborating with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies for SEN students, ensuring interventions are tailored to their specific needs and reviewed regularly for effectiveness.
Assisting in the Classroom: Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and adapting teaching materials to accommodate the diverse needs of SEN students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected.
Behaviour Management: Implementing positive behavior management strategies and techniques to support SEN students in managing their emotions and behaviors, promoting self-regulation and positive social interactions.
Building Relationships: Developing strong rapport with SEN students, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication channels to ensure the holistic support needs of students are met both within and outside the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
