Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including:

    • Moderate learning difficulties
    • Global Developmental Delay
    • Autism Spectrum Conditions
    • Specific Learning Difficulties
    • Speech, Language, and Communication Disorders
    • Gross and fine motor difficulties
    • Moderate Visual Impairment
    • Moderate Hearing Impairment
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) to address student needs effectively.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered.

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.

  • Utilize creative and innovative approaches to engage students and enhance their learning experiences.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Background in education, care, or related fields with transferable skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Education or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
