SEN Teaching Assistant

A brand new SEN school is opening in Poole and we are on the look out for TAs!

The school will cater for students age 16-25 years with SEN. The post-16 provision aims to equip students with learning opportunities that support independence and builds resilience.

The provision will focus on 4 key areas; Personal Development and Wellbeing, Functional life skills, Community links, and Enterprise and the World of Work. Students will have the choice to participate in the following activities; Horticulture, Animal Care, Conservation & Nature Walks, Outdoor Learning, Catering, Creative Arts, Woodcraft and Retail Skills.

To be successful in this role it is desirable if you:

• have experience working within a school setting
• have experience working with children and/or adults with SEN
• have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs, or a willingness to learn
• Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
• be nurturing and enthusiastic

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
