Are you passionate about supporting young people who may need additional emotional, behavioural and educational support?
We are currently looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision setting in Worthing, supporting young people who may have struggled to thrive within a mainstream school environment.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is able to build positive relationships, maintain consistent boundaries and provide young people with the encouragement they need to re-engage with education.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to provide tailored support to pupils throughout the school day.

Previous experience working with SEMH, SEN, challenging behaviour, Alternative Provision, youth work, residential care, mentoring, sports coaching or similar environments would be highly beneficial.
However, transferable experience and the right attitude are equally valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
