SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are looking to promptly hire an excellent Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) TA to work in an Alternative Provision in Bournemouth. This friendly SEMH school caters for pupils in KS3 and KS4, who have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and ASD which prevents them from accessing their mainstream place. The It is a new provision which opened in April 2021 and is a very small school which is currently able to offer 50 pupil places.

Contract details:

• Location – Bournemouth
• Position – Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
• Type of work – Full time
• Contract or position start date – ASAP
• Contract type – Temp to Perm
• Minimum rate of pay - £70 per day

The chosen candidate will require: 

• Experience working with children/teenagers
• Experience working with SEMH is desirable  
• Adequate References  
• A valid up to date DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one  
• To be reliant and self-sufficient  
• The ability to nurture and inspire pupils
