Teaching Personnel are recruiting and Teaching assistant to work with SEN pupils in the Hornsy area. The individual will be needed as soon as possible, the role is needing to be filled by the school urgently. The term will last up until the end of the academic year 2023, with an opportunity for the teaching assistant to work towards a permanent school-based contract should the time in the school be a success.

The SEN teaching assistant will work closely with selected pupils that have been identified by the school as needing extra help with their academics. They will sit with them in lessons and help them keep up with the main class lead. These pupils often have Autism, dyslexia or behavioural issues, so ensuring that they are enjoying school life is also an important element of the role and efficiently making friends.

The role

  • Start date ASAP
  • Based in the Hornsy area.
  • Acting as a teaching assistant in a school working closely with those who have special educational needs.
  • Pay is £80.00 per day.
  • Payments are made a week in arrears (the following Friday), with pay working on a pay as you earn basis.

To commute to the school, it is mainly accessible via car. The school connects by main road and motorway links as well as having on site parking which is free to use by all staff members. Alternatively, the school can be accessed by train and bus services which have connections to the city centre and other surrounding suburbs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
