Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a large and inclusive secondary school in the Carmarthenshire area to recruit a Full-Time Learning Support Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year.

This long-term role will involve supporting pupils within mainstream education who require additional help to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

You will join a supportive secondary school with a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing and pupil success. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including:

✅ Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
✅ ADHD and attention difficulties
✅ Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
✅ Literacy and numeracy intervention needs
✅ Anxiety and communication difficulties

Your responsibilities will include:

✅ Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
✅ Encouraging engagement and confidence in lessons
✅ Providing emotional and behavioural support
✅ Assisting with intervention programmes across the curriculum
✅ Promoting independence, resilience and positive learning behaviours

Desirable (but not essential):

✔ Experience working with young people
