I am recruiting for Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants to support mainstream secondary schools across Central and South Bristol.

I'm particularly interested in experienced TAs who are confident stepping into a school environment, understand how to support learning effectively and can build positive relationships with secondary-aged students.

Opportunities range from general classroom support to 1:1 SEND, intervention and inclusion-based roles, allowing us to find a setting that suits your strengths and experience.

As a Level 2 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant, your role could include:

• Supporting students across KS3 and KS4
• Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting students with SEND, including Autism and ADHD
• Helping students understand tasks and remain engaged with learning
• Delivering literacy, numeracy or targeted interventions
• Adapting resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Promoting confidence, independence and positive classroom participation
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation where required
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

Experience within secondary education is particularly desirable, although experienced TAs from primary, specialist SEND or alternative settings are also encouraged to apply.

✔ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or a closely related qualification

✔ Previous experience working with children or young people

✔ Strong classroom and learning support skills

✔ Confidence working with a range of abilities and additional needs

✔ Excellent relationship-building skills

✔ A calm, patient and adaptable approach

✔ Reliability and a professional attitude

✔ A genuine passion for helping students make progress

Different schools need different strengths, so opportunities may include:

Working with students with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or other additional needs.

Providing consistent individual support to a student with identified needs.

Helping students overcome barriers to engagement and successfully access their education.
