We are currently recruiting experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work within a range of mainstream and SEMH secondary schools across Liverpool.

This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated and resilient individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential, particularly those who may require additional support both academically and emotionally.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to secondary-aged students.
  • Support students with additional learning, behavioural, social, and emotional needs.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support student progress.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques when required.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence within the classroom.
  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Youth Worker, or in a similar role.
  • Experience supporting students with challenging behaviour and/or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Psychology, Youth Work, or related fields.
  • Experience within secondary school settings.
  • Training in Team Teach, MAPA, or other behaviour management interventions.
