We are working in partnership with a well-established specialist education setting based in the Harbourside area of Poole.

The school is recognised for its nurturing approach, strong pastoral care, and commitment to supporting pupils to re-engage with learning.

Staff are supported by a collaborative leadership team and benefit from a structured, calm environment focused on pupil wellbeing and progress.


  • Full-time Learning Support Assistant position

  • Supporting pupils aged 10-16 with SEMH needs

  • Working hours: 8.30am to 4pm

  • Secondary provision available

  • Supporting pupils in lessons, small groups, and one-to-one where required

  • Assisting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour support, and engagement in learning

  • Immediate start available


  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

  • Anxiety and low mood

  • Attachment and detachment disorders

  • Behavioural challenges linked to emotional regulation difficulties


  • Minimum of 6 months' childcare experience, particularly supporting children or young people with SEN

  • Experience working with SEMH needs is highly desirable

  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team


  • Competitive pay of £13.75 per hour, paid weekly
