ALN Learning Support Assistant

Full time ALN Learning Support Assistant positions available in Bridgend ALN School! We are looking for a confident individual to work with learners with severe and complex additional needs including Autism, SEMH and Behavioural Needs.

Payrate: 12.90 per hour

Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm

Bridgend based – CF31

No weekend work!

No education-based experience required!

As a ALN Learning Support Assistant you will:

  • Follow guidance from the teacher during up the setting up and delivering of lessons by supporting with creating and distributing learning materials, ensuring the classroom is tidy and the room is a safe learning environment.
  • Helping support the learners while completing tasks and activities set up by the teach, ensure they are on task and support with understanding.
  • Montior the learners moving around the classroom and wider school.
  • Manage learner behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour, understand learners triggers and provide nurturing support.
  • Work closely with other educational staff and parents to ensure learners are meeting tailored targets.

We are looking for a full time Learning Support Assistant to work in class with secondary aged pupils supporting them throughout the school day. We require a ALN Learning Support Assistant that is confident managing behaviour and that is unfazed by challenging behaviour. Behaviour management training is not essential but highly desirable - If you think this, is you apply today!  The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with learners and staff and be able to fit in well to a team environment. We are looking for someone that is interested in always learning and developing! The Learning Support Assistant may be expected to cover in other classes therefore the ability to adapt your support is needed.

Enhanced DBS

Up to date EWC registration

Safeguarding Level 2 – Free through Teaching Personnel
