A large secondary School in the Salford area are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their support team

An exciting opportunity has become available at one of our client secondary schools in the Salford area, for a HLTA to work with pupils who have SEMH/SEN. This HLTA position will involve supporting identified pupils with daily school life alongside their academic studies. You will be working alongside senior teachers including the SENCO to implement interventions to improve behaviour and promote inclusion of all pupils throughout school.

Job criteria

  • Full time HLTA.
  • Role available from September 2022.
  • Secondary school based in the Salford area.
  • Working with identified pupils with SEN including ADHD, ASC and SEMH.
  • Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Earn up to £400 per week, depending on previous experience.

The successful HLTA must have previous experience working with young people who have SEN or have a strong understanding of how to support specific SEN.

Our client school is based in Salford and can be accessed via the M60/A580 and several forms of public transport from the surrounding areas such as Bolton and central Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
