High Level Teaching Assistant

We are working alongside an exceptional specialist education provider in Poole, well known for its nurturing ethos, high-quality facilities, and commitment to supporting young people with severe and complex special educational needs.

The setting places a strong focus on independence, life skills, and preparing learners for adulthood within a supportive and inclusive environment.

• Full-time High Level Teaching Assistant position

• Supporting students aged 14–18 with severe SEN needs

• Working hours: 8.30am to 4pm

• Supporting learning at a secondary level, including structured interventions and small-group work

• Assisting with personal development, communication, and independence skills

• Immediate start available

• Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children or young people with SEN

• Experience working with severe or complex needs is highly desirable

• Confident supporting learning under the direction of teaching staff

• Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education

• Must be able to drive due to the location of the setting

• Access to free CPD and specialist SEN training

• Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant

• Competitive weekly pay - 13.75 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
