Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a dedicated, resilient and enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school in Oldham, supporting pupils across both primary and secondary age ranges.
This specialist provision supports young people aged 4-19 with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), offering a high-quality alternative to mainstream education. The school places strong emphasis on inclusion, emotional wellbeing, and preparing pupils for adulthood in a safe and nurturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates with relevant experience supporting children, young people or individuals with Special Educational Needs who are looking to gain specialist school-based experience before progressing into careers such as Teaching, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or wider SEN services.
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex additional needs. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, support staff and families to deliver structured, personalised support that enables each pupil to progress academically, socially and emotionally at their own pace.
You will help create a positive and engaging learning environment where pupils feel safe, respected and encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
If you are a graduate with relevant experience and a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.
