Graduate Teaching Assistant - Wythenshawe

Are you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career in education?

Do you have a passion for working with young people and helping them reach their full potential?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at a client secondary school based in Wythenshawe.

The school is a 10-minute walk from the nearest tram and bus stops, so it is easily accessible for applicants using public transport to travel in and out of the city centre. In addition, applicants with a vehicle should find the commute easy from surrounding areas such as Altrincham and Cheadle.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to support the learning and development of students. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons.

2. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.

3. Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities.

4. Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

5. Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

6. Supervising students during break times and extracurricular activities.

7. Collaborating with teachers to assess student progress and provide feedback.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline

2. Have a genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their learning.

3. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.

5. Show a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
