Are you a graduate who is resilient, compassionate and motivated to support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Are you looking to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience that will support a future career in education, psychology, SEN, mental health or social care?
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic SEN setting in Oldham. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people while building valuable professional experience.
About the Role
You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (CLDD), Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, and SEMH needs. Pupils are supported through adapted learning approaches that focus on consistency, emotional regulation, communication and positive relationships.
Working closely with teachers, therapists, support staff and parents/carers, you will help provide nurturing, personalised support aligned with each pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
