The role:

  • Cover Supervisors manage the classroom in the absence of a regular teacher.
  • Work is prepared and set for you by the regular teacher and all instruction is provided; so no planning and preparation of materials is expected by you.
  • Taking of registers for each class using the schools preferred system.
  • Implement classroom management strategies such as seating plans, enforcing school behaviour policies and clear communication with pupils.
  • Cover Supervisors will be expected to cover a full range of subjects and year groups as and when the school need classes covering.
  • No formal teaching qualifications required.

 

Teaching Personnel can support you with Cover Supervisor training and can arrange shadowing days to help build experience before stepping into the role.

 

Pay: £100-110 per day

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Location: Bridgend & surrounding areas

Sector: Secondary Schools

Placements: Short-term (day to day bookings) and potential Long-term (pre-booked)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
