Teaching Personnel is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school supporting pupils aged 3-11 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
✅ Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
✅ Assist with personalised learning and EHCP targets
✅ Encourage communication, independence, and social development
✅ Support sensory, play-based, and practical learning activities
✅ Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEND professionals
✅ Provide personal care where required
✨ Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
✨ A patient, resilient, and nurturing nature
✨ Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs
✨ Strong communication and teamwork skills
➕ Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or AAC
➕ SEND qualifications or specialist school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
