About the Role
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN Primary Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Penarth.
In this role, you will be teaching KS3/KS4 pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), delivering a broad and engaging curriculum. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that communication, sensory regulation, and personalised strategies are embedded in everyday learning.
This is not a typical mainstream teaching position, you will be supporting learners through a sensory-focused and adaptive curriculum, designed to meet the needs of students with complex learning profiles. A flexible, creative, and reflective teaching approach is essential.

• Previous experience teaching in SEN/ALN settings
• A strong understanding of ALN frameworks and how to implement individual development plans (IDPs)

• The ability to remain calm, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations

This large, inclusive SEN school in Penarth supports approximately 500 pupils aged 3–19, all with ALN.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or be working towards it)
• Be registered (or eligible to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Have an Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult) on the Update Service
• Be able to provide professional references covering the last 24 months
