Join Our Team as a Classroom Assistant!
Locations: Swansea & Surrounding Areas 

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives? Teaching Personnel is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Classroom Assistants to join our partner schools across the Swansea area. 

As a Classroom Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and specialist staff, you'll help create engaging learning experiences and provide tailored support for students with a range of abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to help students thrive both academically and socially.

  • Assisting in planning and delivering activities adapted to individual learning needs.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.

  • Supporting pupils during lessons and activities to develop confidence, communication, and independence.

  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to track progress and celebrate achievements.

  • Helping prepare classroom materials and learning resources.

  • Providing personal care and ensuring students' safety and well-being at all times.

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential - we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn above all.

  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine commitment to helping every child succeed.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not required.
