Rochdale | Full-Time | September Start Teaching Personnel
Not every student thrives in a mainstream classroom. Some need additional support, guidance and understanding to unlock their potential. If you're passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and succeed, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Pupil Referral Service (PRS) in Rochdale seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is more than just a classroom support role. It's an opportunity to have a genuine and lasting impact on the lives of children and young people who need positive role models, encouragement and consistency.
The provision supports pupils aged 5-16 who require an alternative to mainstream education. Students may face social, emotional, behavioural or learning challenges that have affected their engagement with education.
With a strong focus on personalised support, emotional wellbeing and academic progress, the school provides a structured and nurturing environment where pupils can rebuild confidence, develop resilience and achieve meaningful success.
The staff team is committed to helping every pupil feel valued, supported and capable of reaching their goals.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom. You'll help remove barriers to learning, encourage positive behaviours and provide the consistency that many young people need to flourish.
Every day brings new challenges and rewards, making this role ideal for someone who is adaptable, resilient and motivated by making a difference.
We are seeking someone who can bring patience, positivity and consistency to a specialist educational setting.
You will be:
✅ Calm, resilient and able to remain professional under pressure
✅ Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
✅ A confident communicator who can build meaningful relationships
✅ Flexible, proactive and willing to work as part of a wider team
✅ Committed to helping pupils achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally
This is a rewarding opportunity to become part of a dedicated team that is transforming the lives of young people every day. If you're looking for a role where your support, encouragement and commitment can make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.
Take the next step in your education career and join a setting where every small success matters.
