Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a confident, proactive, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH secondary provision in Failsworth. About the School
This specialist provision supports students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment, enabling pupils to rebuild confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve both academically and personally.
Staff work collaboratively to ensure consistency, develop strong relationships, and provide the stability pupils need to succeed.
The Role
This is a hands-on, highly active role suited to an individual who is confident using their initiative and responding effectively to challenges as they arise.
You will support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom, helping them to regulate behaviour, engage in learning, and develop positive routines.
No two days are the same, so adaptability, resilience, and a calm, professional approach are essential.
