The role
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit additional learning support assistants, ideally individuals who are experienced supporting challenging behaviour, this may have been a variety of capacities including Youth/ Support Work, the prison service, care sector or education. This specialist provision caters for children with SEMH and ASC who can often display challenging behaviours. These posts are to start beginning of November on a full-time basis (8.30am-3.00pm/3.30pm), you will be required to work during term-time, with the view of becoming a permanent member of staff. These positions are due to start in November, however if the successful applicants were available before there may be the opportunity to start beforehand.
The provision
The children attending this provision have identified to have SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health). Therefore, this provision provides personalised programmes to children to engage them – resulting in positive academic and social development. The headteacher of the school praises the welcoming ethos that it creates allowing children to flourish and grow into responsible young adults. The guidance that the provision offers encourages children to be accountable for their own behaviours and supports them in making the right choices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
