A fantastic SEN School in Slough is looking for an enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated ASD Assistant to join their team. This role is particularly suited to Psychology graduates, aspiring teachers, individuals with experience supporting children with autism, or anyone looking to build a career in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Job Responsibilities as an ASD Assistant
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them access learning and participate in school activities.
- Support students with developing communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independent living skills.
- Help students manage sensory sensitivities, changes in routine, and situations that may cause anxiety or distress.
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to implement individual education plans and personalised support strategies.
