What You'll Be Doing

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you'll become an important part of the school community by:

  • Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Working closely with teachers to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), SEMH, and behavioural needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students stay focused in lessons.
  • Becoming a positive role model and trusted adult within the school.

No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role where every day brings new opportunities to make an impact.

Educator Requirements

The ideal candidate will also require the following or already hold & willing to apply for: (We can help you obtain the below as part of the registration process)

•             Enhanced DBS on the update service

•             Education Workforce Regulation registration (EWC)

•             Aged 18 and over

•             Level 2 Safeguarding Course as part of your onboarding with us

•             A Minimum of 2 professional based references which cover a 24-month period of employment (or equivalent)
